Go and make interesting mistakes, make amazing mistakes, make glorious and fantastic mistakes. Break rules. Leave the world more interesting for your being here. Make. Good. Art.

Quote 24 May 3 notes
All the animals, the plants, the minerals, even other kinds of men, are being broken and reassembled every day, to preserve an elite few, who are the loudest to theorize on freedom, but the least free of all.

Does anyone actually know what communism actually is and what it involves any more? Given the budget that is being aligned with communism here involves tax breaks to small businesses in Australia I’d say people quite clearly don’t.

Not to mention that it’s not exactly difficult to find examples of how communism operates by restricting freedom of speech and association (with actual penalties involving being thrown into a cell, not just Andrew Bolt being told he’s a bit of turd), systematic slaughter and gaoling of all opposition, forced labour camps, exile and vast networks of secret police spying on the civilian population.

Curtailing a tax break to the most wealthy people in Australia, who will find some loop hole to avoid paying the difference anyway, doesn’t bear much resemblance to communism as it has occurred throughout history at all. Are we really living such cushy, comfortable, privileged lives so completely out of touch with any reality that we can equate anything occurring in Australia right now with any of the above?

Given a huge proportion of the world’s population live or have lived under communist regimes, this complete lack of knowledge and proportion is insulting. Not to mention proves we’re becoming bigger Fucking Idiots by the second.

roadsidelions asked: I didn't know you liked 30 rock!

I was very late in coming to it, but I most certainly do dig.
